Regular Season Round 47: Anyang - LG Sakers 84-74

Date: March 31, 2026
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Sakers (35-16) on the court of second ranked Anyang on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Anyang 84-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sakers. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The former international point guard Jihoon Park (184-1995) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 4 assists. American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-1993, college: LSU, agency: Slash Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Anyang players scored in double figures. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) added 18 points in the effort for LG Sakers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anyang maintains second place with 33-18 record having just two points less than leader LG Sakers. Defending champion LG Sakers still keep top position with 16 games lost. Anyang are looking forward to face Mobis Phoebus (#8) in Ulsan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. LG Sakers will play on the road against Suwon KT (#7) in Busan and are hoping to win this game.
